Apply Online for CTET December 2024 Examination, Classes I– VIII

On Sunday, December 1, 2024, the Central Board of Secondary Education will conduct the 20th edition of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) for both Paper I and Paper II. The exam will be given in 136 places across the nation in 20 different languages.

CTET Eligibility Criteria

Listed below are the eligibility criteria, which are as follows:

• To qualify for the CTET test for primary teachers, candidates must have completed Class 12 with a minimum of 45% aggregate.
• To qualify for the CTET test for elementary-stage teachers, candidates must graduate with a minimum of 45 percent aggregate or Class 12 with at least 50 percent aggregate.
• Candidates should have completed the necessary teacher training programs or teacher education courses.

Paper 1: Educational Qualification for Teachers of Classes 1–5.

To be eligible for CTET Paper 1, teachers must have completed a Senior Secondary or comparable test with a minimum of 50% marks, or be in the last year of a Diploma in Elementary Education (2 years). 

OR 

Senior Secondary or equivalent exam with a minimum of 45% marks. Cleared or appearing in the final year of the Diploma in Elementary Education (2 years). 

OR

Senior Secondary or equivalent exam with a minimum of 50% marks, and passing or appearing in the final year test of Bachelor of Elementary Education (4 years). 

OR

Senior Secondary or comparable examination with a minimum of 50% marks and passing or appearing in the final year exam of the Diploma in Education (2-year length). OR: Bachelor’s degree with a BEd degree.

Paper 2: Educational Qualification for Teachers of Classes 6-8 

Requires a graduation degree and passing or preparing for the last year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education program. Alternatively, a graduation degree with 50% marks and passing the BEd final year test are required. 

OR

According to NCTE requirements, you must have a graduation degree with at least 40% and have passed or appeared in the final year BEd test. 

OR

Senior Secondary or equivalent examination with a minimum of 50% marks and has passed or appeared in the final year exam of a four-year Bachelor of Elementary Education. 

OR

Graduate degree with 50% of the possible points and having cleared or appeared in a BEd program lasting a year, or Senior Secondary or its equivalent test with 50% of the possible points and clearing 

OR

Appearing in the final year exam of B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed or B.A./B.Sc.Ed

How to Fill the Online Application Form?

How to Fill Out and Submit an Online Application:

• Visit the official CTET website at https://ctet.nic.in. 
• Click the “Apply Online” tab and fill out the form.
• Complete the online application form and make a note of your application number and registration number.
• Upload the most recent scanned copy of your signature and photo.
•  Use net banking or a debit/credit card to pay the examination fee.
• Print the confirmation paper in step six for your records and future use.

Requirements

• Uploading a scanned photo and signature is required.
• Upload a scanned image and signature in JPG/JPEG format.
• The size of the scanned photograph should be between 10 and 100 KB.
• The dimensions of the photos should be 3.5 cm (width) x 4.5 cm (height).
• The size of the scanned signature should be between 3 and 30 KB.
• The signature image should measure 3.5 cm in length and 1.5 cm in height.

Before applying online, candidates should have scanned pictures of their most recent photograph and signature ready in JPEG/JPG format and at the appropriate size and dimensions.

To prevent difficulty at the center, please send a scanned version of your most recent photograph, since this photograph will be compared with the real candidate presenting in the examination center.
